Willie Richardson Obituary, Death – Willie B. Richardson, our dear friend and longtime leader of the Oregon Black Pioneers, passed away abruptly and unexpectedly on January 25, 2023. Willie B. Richardson had served as president of the organization for a number of years.

We are passing along this information with sorrowful hearts. Willie had an enormous impact on the organization, the city of Salem, and the state of Oregon; all three of these places will continue to feel the consequences of his efforts for many years to come because of his work. The arrangements for the funeral have not yet been finalized. We are all going to miss her very much after her passing. Members of the Board of Directors and Staff of the Oregon Black Pioneers. Willie B. Richardson, who passed away on January 31, 2017, at the age of 73 and resided in Deming, New Mexico, was laid to rest at his residence on same day. Willie B. Richardson and Iva Lumus became parents on July 6, 1943 in the town of Ennis, Texas.

They named their son Willie B. Richardson Jr. Following his departure, his wishes were carried out at the Terrazas Crematorium by having his body cremated there.
