Jade Cohen Obituary, Death – Jade Cohen, who had most recently been a resident of Lake Metigoshe, North Dakota but had previously been a resident of Norwich, North Dakota, passed suddenly at his home on Monday. Jade Cohen, the son of Emerald Cohen and Ruby (Olson) Cohen, was born on June 2 in the city of Minot. Jade is their first child together.
He started his studies in Norwich, where he attended Granville Elementary School, and subsequently finished his study at Granville High School. He wed Cynthia Hasselstrom on the 10th of January in the year 1976. The wedding took place. They ultimately decided to make their home in Norwich, and it was there that they raised their family. At the age of 57, Jade made the decision to retire from her position as a glazier at the Fargo Glass & Paint Co. in Minot, where she had worked for the previous 27 years. In November of 2014, they uprooted their lives and moved to the Turtle Mountains, where they have remained as permanent residents ever since.
Although he was capable of playing a number of instruments, Jade considered the guitar to be his primary instrument. When he was young, he began playing lead guitar in bands, and he loved the many relationships he developed while playing with other talented musicians from around the area. He played with artists from all over the region. Since Jade was a member of the Frozen Fingers Music Association of Minot, she felt a feeling of fulfillment from the fact that she had participated in the Norsk Hostfest by giving a performance there.
His wife Cindy, who resides in Lake Metigoshe; his daughter Jessica Pepper (Greg) Jackson, who resides in Franklin, Ohio; his son Garth Cole Cohen (Ashley), who is in Norwich, North Dakota; and his grandchildren Piper Jade and Cole Cohen. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Jackson and Emerald Dawn Jackson, his sisters Juell Brabandt (Roger) of Minot and Garnet Lukenbach (Doug) of Harvey, his brother Beryl Cohen (Carla) of Bismarck, and a huge number of nieces and nephews.
