Vernell Heard Obituary, Death – Vernell Heard has reportedly passed away. Linda Heard and Vernell Ward, Vernell’s parents, welcomed him into the world on June 8 in Chicago, Illinois. He declared his love for Christ in front of the congregation at New Philadelphia Baptist Church on Easter Sunday, 2008. He attended Alfred Kohn Elementary School, where he finished eighth grade, and Gage Park High School, where he developed his passion for dancing while working at Gallery 37 dance studio. He attended Gage Park High School. As a result of his strong academic achievement, Vernell was recognized as an outstanding freshman and graduated with honors in 2004.
He then spent the following two years studying the culinary arts. He also obtained a diploma from the carpentry school where he studied. Vernell loved spending time on his boat, at the lake, and remembering significant occasions with his family and friends. Above all, Vernell’s passion was his work. He found joy in his interest of cooking, which led him to pursue a job in the food industry. Vernell’s most recent job, which he held until his death, was as a Manager at the Taco Bell Inc. facility on 79th and Western.
His grandfather Leonard Heard and uncle Oscar Shannon died before he was born. Vernell (Veno) is survived by his mother, Linda Heard; father, Vernell Ward (Gladys); stepfathers, Armando Wilson and Michael Lynn; brothers, Michael Heard and Darrien Jackson; sister, Armonda Wilson; grandmothers, Annie Mae Heard and Ollie Lynn; and sister, Armonda Wilson. He will also be missed by his girlfriend, Kendra Mccune; his devoted cat, Oreo; his uncle, Jerry Robinson; his aunts, Betty Hill, Faye Robinson, Beverly Heard, Teresa Heard, and Nicole Heard; two very special friends, Brandie Hill and Ladonna Ragsdale; and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends. He also leaves a significant number of family and friends behind.
