James Dougherty Obituary, Death – James F. Dougherty, Jr., who had been a resident of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, passed away on the 22nd of January, 2023. He had a total of 56 years of experience. Although Jim was born in Camden on July 1, 1966, he spent the majority of his life in Maple Shade. Although Jim was born in Camden, he lived there for the majority of his life. He was a proud member of the United States Navy from 1984 through 1990, serving his country with distinction. Before Jim moved back to the east coast, he lived in California for some time and worked for Los Angeles County at a facility that turned waste into steam.
During this period, Jim was away from the east coast. He filled his free time with activities such as watching game shows and reading books. In addition to being an enthusiastic follower of the game of golf, Jim was also a highly capable handyman. He was a very devoted fan of the Eagles and their football team. Jim Dougherty was the loving father of Samantha, devoted son of Thelma Dougherty (nee Rice), James F., Sr., and Cindy Dougherty, devoted brother of Joseph “Doc” (Ann) Dougherty, John (Julie) Dougherty, and Tracy (Michael) McWilliams, and cherished uncle to Brett, McKenzie, Abigail, and Michael. On the evening of Friday, January 27th, there will be a gathering and visitation for Jim at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME in Maple Shade, which can be found at 38 N. Forklanding Road. The hours of the gathering and visitation are from 6 pm to 8 pm. Family members and close friends are cordially invited to attend. After the viewing has concluded, a memorial ceremony will be held at 8:00 pm. A private funeral service will be held in the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery on the day of the interment.
